Job Overview

A dynamic law firm is seeking a skilled and successful Personal Injury Lawyer to join its remote team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients obtain justice and compensation for their injuries, along with a minimum of three years of successful personal injury litigation and trial experience. This position offers the opportunity to handle case files from start to finish in a high-volume environment.

Location

  • North Charleston, SC 

Duties

  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
  • Conduct research on case law, premises liability, and gather relevant evidence, including insurance policies and medical records.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation.
  • Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and legal secretaries.
  • Review, modify, and draft various legal documents, including motions, discovery responses, demand letters, and pleadings.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina or Georgia.
  • 3+ years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in areas such as wrongful death, medical malpractice, or civil litigation.
  • Membership in the State Bar Association is mandatory.
  • Proficient in using a Case Management System while maintaining a high level of client experience.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid state Bar license (North Carolina or Georgia).

Skills

  • Strong drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
  • Computer proficiency and strong Case Management System skills.
