Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Dallas, TX office. This position provides the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment litigation matters, including class actions, trade secret disputes, and restrictive covenant cases. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, substantive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, and the ability to take ownership of cases.

Location:

  • Dallas, Texas

Duties:

  • Handle employment litigation matters, including class actions and trade secret disputes
  • Conduct depositions, represent clients in hearings, and interview witnesses
  • Manage written discovery and draft persuasive legal briefs
  • Provide legal counsel on employment law matters under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and related laws
  • Assist in trial preparation and participate in litigation strategy development
  • Work closely with clients to provide proactive legal guidance on employment policies and compliance
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to ensure effective case management

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of legal experience, preferably with litigation exposure
  • Significant litigation experience, including case management responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to take initiative and assume responsibility for cases
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Admitted to the Texas State Bar or willing to become a member promptly

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Texas State Bar (or ability to obtain admission quickly)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in employment law and litigation procedures
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Excellent legal research and drafting abilities
  • Team-oriented approach with strong client service skills
