Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation Defense

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its workers' compensation defense team in Beaverton, OR. Duties

• Assist in the defense of employers in workers' compensation cases
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and legal guidance
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure the effective management of cases
• Stay current on developments in workers' compensation law and legal precedents
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice

Requirements

• Active bar licensure in Oregon and Washington, or eligibility to apply for both
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within the workers' compensation field

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington (required)
