A law firm in New York City is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Tax Associate Attorney. The role primarily involves transactional tax work, collaborating closely with securities and finance lawyers, alongside engagement with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials nationwide.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance on transactional tax matters, including structuring and planning.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing tax-related documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of tax strategies.
  • Support senior attorneys in representing clients in tax-related negotiations and disputes.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in New York State.
  • 2-4 years of experience in tax law practice.
  • Familiarity with transactional tax matters preferred.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
