Job Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour disputes, FEHA discrimination and harassment claims, and retaliation cases under FEHA and the Labor Code.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions of parties and witnesses.
  • Represent clients in mediations and negotiations with defense counsel.
  • Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom appearances.
  • Maintain communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and developments.

Requirements:

  • Active California State Bar license in good standing.
  • 1-2 years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Proficiency in California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, discrimination laws, and retaliation statutes.
  • Experience with discovery, law and motion practice, and conducting depositions.
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective negotiating skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
