Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a full-time position offering a competitive base salary, a semi-annual bonus opportunity, and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate legal services to clients.

Location:

  • Omaha, Nebraska

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies
  • Communicate and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Ensure the accuracy of all prepared documents
  • Comply with legal standards and regulations
  • Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff in Omaha, ensuring adherence to all laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Active Bar license in Nebraska
  • At least 2 years of personal injury practice experience
  • Preferred: Active Bar license in Missouri
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Committed to providing excellent, responsive, and compassionate client service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and tech-savvy

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Nebraska (Missouri license preferred)

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and legal writing abilities
  • Ability to handle a busy caseload while maintaining quality service to clients
  • Knowledge of personal injury law and regulations
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
