A law firm located in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join their dynamic and expanding team. This role requires an attorney capable of handling various litigation matters, including employment and labor law, commercial disputes, real property issues, and general civil litigation. The ideal candidate should have strong advocacy, communication skills, and a team-oriented approach to legal practice.

Duties:

• Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery demands.
• Representing clients in court, including appearances at hearings and trials.
• Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Managing all phases of litigation, from initiation to resolution.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Working closely with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progression.
• Providing legal advice on contract disputes, business matters, and employment law.
• Collaborating with a team of attorneys to ensure quality service and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience handling litigation cases.
• Familiarity with employment and labor law, contract disputes, real estate issues, and general commercial litigation.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in New York.
• Admission to additional states is a plus.

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting litigation documents and legal research.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
