The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of Employment Law experience, with trial experience preferred. Experience with public entity defense is a plus. The candidate must possess knowledge of class and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and membership in the State Bar of California in good standing. The candidate should demonstrate superior research, analytical, and negotiating abilities, along with excellent written and oral communication skills. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment law matters.
  • Handle employment litigation defense cases, including class and PAGA actions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop effective case strategies and defense tactics for employment-related disputes.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and arbitrations.
  • Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Advise clients on employment policies, practices, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess legal risks and provide guidance.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Manage caseload independently from inception to resolution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
  • Attend mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • 7+ years of experience in Employment Law.
  • Well-established background in employment litigation defense.
  • Trial experience is preferred.
  • Experience with public entity defense is a plus.
  • Knowledge of class and PAGA litigation.
  • Superior research, analytical, and negotiating abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
