A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, substantial law firm or clerking experience, and excellent problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. This role involves handling complex litigation related to commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle litigation involving commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.
  • Take and defend depositions and manage all aspects of discovery.
  • Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and presenting cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal trends and developments in financial services litigation.
  • Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services litigation, preferably with a focus on commercial real estate and distressed loans.
  • Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
  • Demonstrated courtroom experience and ability to handle complex litigation matters.
  • Strong academic achievements and a solid track record of law firm or clerking experience.
