Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide detailed analyses to support litigation cases.
  • Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients during court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Manage and prioritize a varied caseload, ensuring efficient case progression.
  • Collaborate closely with partners on intricate litigation matters.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, mediators, and arbitrators.
  • Engage in strategy discussions and case planning to formulate strong legal approaches.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience handling commercial insurance coverage disputes.
  • Prior experience across all phases of complex commercial litigation, including investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, and client communications.
  • Proficiency in managing cases involving various types of insurance coverage, such as commercial general liability, pollution liability, marine, directors and officers, professional liability, and errors and omissions.
  • Experience reviewing commercial insurance policies, drafting coverage evaluations, and handling reservations of rights.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with an exemplary academic record.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar.
