Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join a dedicated team focused on representing clients facing personal and family challenges. This position is based in Brevard, NC, and offers a unique opportunity to support clients through various legal proceedings and provide top-tier legal counsel within a collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Conduct client consultations for new cases in the Family Law practice area
  • Represent clients in court, mediations, and depositions
  • Conduct legal research and prepare cases for court proceedings
  • Participate in case reviews and team training sessions within the Family Law Practice Group
  • Communicate with clients through various channels, ensuring clear, responsive, and professional interactions
  • Handle a high volume of cases, managing each from start to resolution with meticulous attention
  • Coordinate and check in regularly with an assigned case manager for smooth case management
  • Attend weekly team training and development sessions
  • Support the overall client experience, maintaining a high standard of service and advocacy

Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina Bar membership in good standing
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and advocacy within Family Law
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment handling multiple cases
  • Prior litigation or law firm experience preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • An active member of the North Carolina Bar

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and case management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • High attention to detail and commitment to client advocacy
