Worker's Compensation Attorney

Job Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations and develop strategies for legal actions.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure cohesive and comprehensive case management.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Stay current with changes in MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Handle employer liability claims and other related personal injury cases as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation and employers' liability.
• Admitted to practice law in MD and PA.
• Strong understanding of MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Experience with employer liability claims is a plus.
• Must be barred in MD and PA.
• Candidates admitted to other jurisdictions such as DE, DC, VA, and WV are encouraged to apply.
• Insurance defense, workers' compensation, and personal injury experience preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in MD and PA.
• Licensure in other jurisdictions is a plus.
