Medical Malpractice Attorney

A law firm in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their team. This position offers an opportunity for immediate client and case involvement, as well as a significant role in the growth of the team. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience, including medical malpractice, and be licensed to practice law in Virginia. The role provides exposure to all aspects of an engaging medical malpractice and civil litigation practice.

Duties:

• Represent clients in medical malpractice cases from initial consultation through resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence related to medical malpractice claims.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Develop and implement case strategies, including conducting depositions and preparing for trial.
• Communicate effectively with clients, medical experts, and opposing counsel.
• Participate in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Stay informed about developments in medical malpractice law and relevant legal precedents.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the firm's medical malpractice and civil litigation practice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Significant litigation experience, including a focus on medical malpractice.
• Strong understanding of medical malpractice law and civil litigation processes.
• Experience in managing complex cases and participating in trial proceedings.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
