The role provides exposure to all aspects of an engaging medical malpractice and civil litigation practice.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in medical malpractice cases from initial consultation through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence related to medical malpractice claims.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, including conducting depositions and preparing for trial.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, medical experts, and opposing counsel.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
  • Stay informed about developments in medical malpractice law and relevant legal precedents.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the firm's medical malpractice and civil litigation practice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
  • Significant litigation experience, including a focus on medical malpractice.
  • Strong understanding of medical malpractice law and civil litigation processes.
  • Experience in managing complex cases and participating in trial proceedings.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
