A law firm based in Dallas, TX, is looking to add an experienced Immigration Attorney to its team. The attorney will primarily focus on immigration litigation and family-based immigration cases, with responsibilities including drafting documents, attending hearings, and providing consultations to clients.

Duties:

  • Handle immigration litigation and family-based immigration cases.
  • Consult with clients regarding their immigration matters and offer legal guidance.
  • Draft support letters, forms, and pleadings for immigration cases.
  • Review and process immigration filings and applications.
  • Communicate effectively with government agencies related to immigration matters.
  • Attend hearings and interviews with clients.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff as needed.
  • Represent the firm at community seminars and forums.
  • Prepare and file appeals when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law, including adjustment of status, waivers, and consular processing.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Highly ethical and professional conduct.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • In good standing with the State Bar.
  • Law review/journal or immigration clinic experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in managing a caseload and adhering to deadlines.
