A law firm seeks a Healthcare Transactional Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join its dynamic Healthcare Business Unit. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in both regulatory and transactional healthcare law, including a solid understanding of laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA/HITECH. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney to work on a range of corporate and transactional documents, including entity formation, governance, compliance, and M&A transactions. Strong attention to detail and interpersonal communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties

  • Prepare and negotiate various corporate and transactional documents, including formation and governance agreements, operating documents, compliance documents, and M&A-related contracts.
  • Advise clients on regulatory matters within the healthcare industry, ensuring compliance with federal healthcare laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA/HITECH.
  • Work with clients to develop strategies for mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance across healthcare operations.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records for all legal documentation and transactions.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships while providing exceptional legal services in healthcare-related matters.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments, contributing to the development of business strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and manage healthcare-specific compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare transactional and regulatory law.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA/HITECH.
  • Proven experience in preparing and negotiating corporate and transactional documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Texas State Bar admission is required.
  • Business development experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in the State of Texas.
