Duties

  • Serve as first-chair attorney in trials
  • Draft and respond to complaints
  • Develop and implement case strategies
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, stipulations, briefs, and declarations
  • Meet and confer with opposing counsel
  • Manage discovery and coordinate related processes
  • Represent clients in mediation, hearings, and oral arguments
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and provide case updates

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, preferably in real estate and complex commercial litigation
  • First-chair trial experience (required)
  • Strong knowledge of California state laws and litigation procedures
  • Ability to manage a large caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California and in good standing
