Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience drafting litigation documents, managing cases, and providing strategic legal advice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Effectively communicating, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
• Producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and replying to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
• Providing timely, accurate, and high-quality work product
• Meeting deadlines expectations, and performing work duties as required
• Fostering positive work relationships and complying with all firm policies and practices
• Engaging in both physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed
• Performing all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney
• Experience drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail
• Good business judgment and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Research and problem-solving skills, with conceptual thinking ability
• Ability to influence others through persuasive communication
• Management skills with solid project management capabilities

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Texas State Bar is required
