Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage finance-related transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, in a first-chair capacity.
  • Provide expert legal advice on complex financial transactions and issues, including loan documentation and due diligence.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements and related loan documents.
  • Represent and advise clients on both lender and borrower side matters.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, emphasizing business development and entrepreneurial growth.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and departments to ensure comprehensive legal support and solutions.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide informed legal counsel.
  • Maintain high levels of responsiveness and exceptional customer/client service.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • 6-15 years of significant experience in finance matters, including leading transactions in a first-chair capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of lender and borrower side work, loan documentation, and due diligence.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents.
  • Portable book of business is preferred.
  • Demonstrated business development capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
