The ideal candidate will possess a JD, be licensed to practice law in New Jersey, and have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in bankruptcy law.

Job Duties:

  • Review and analyze bankruptcy pleadings and claims intended for filing in the designated jurisdiction.
  • Manage routine bankruptcy matters, including filings, objections, and client consultations.
  • Monitor Electronic Case Filing (ECF) systems for new filings and updates relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Attend regular bankruptcy hearings, representing clients and advocating on their behalf.
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients, opposing counsel, and Trustees to facilitate case progress and resolution.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisory attorneys and partners.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
  • Preferred minimum of 2+ years of practical experience in bankruptcy law.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in work product.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with legal software and general office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze legal issues, identify solutions, and recommend appropriate courses of action.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
