Insurance Defense Attorney

Location:

• San Antonio, TX

Duties:

• Manage the full legal process from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings
• Handle cases, including taking depositions, attending hearings, negotiating settlements, and reporting to clients
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
• Research applicable laws and case findings to develop legal strategies
• Examine video, documentary, and physical evidence
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
• Prepare detailed case reports and summaries

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in insurance defense
• Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Ability to interface with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar
