Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Roseland, NJ, specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, allowing for immediate hands-on experience and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York, with a solid understanding of the court rules and procedures in both states.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload with oversight from senior attorneys
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and write memorandums
• Represent clients in hearings and court conferences
• Defend and conduct depositions
• Attend inspections and consultations with expert witnesses
• Participate in mediation and trial preparation
• Provide trial support and handle cases through trial

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience in civil litigation defense
• Licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York
• Familiarity with New York and New Jersey court rules and procedures
• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New Jersey Bar License (Required)
• New York Bar License (Required)
