Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate

Job Overview

An elite international law firm is currently seeking experienced mid-level associate to join its Litigation Practice Group, with a focus on patent litigation. Location

• Washington, D.C.

Duties

• Handle all stages of patent litigation, including case strategy, discovery, trial preparation, and appeals

• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Conduct legal research and technical analysis relevant to case issues

• Work closely with expert witnesses, co-counsel, and client stakeholders

• Support and lead depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings

• Collaborate with cross-office litigation teams on complex IP matters

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of patent litigation experience at a recognized law firm

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced, high-stakes cases

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and legal analysis

Education

• Undergraduate and/or advanced degree in a technical or scientific discipline, such as:

  • Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Chemistry

  • Biology

  • Physics

  • Other related fields

Certifications

• Active Bar admission in Washington, DC.
