A law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney for its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have a portable practice with an emphasis on family law, business, and general litigation.

Job Overview:

• Position: Family Law Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence cases
• Provide legal counsel and guidance on family law issues
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and agreements
• Advocate for clients in court proceedings

Requirements:

• Active District of Columbia law license
• Portable practice with a focus on family law, business, and general litigation
• Strong writing skills
• Prior experience in family law practice preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and efficiently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• District of Columbia law license
