A law firm in Albany, NY, is seeking a highly experienced Land Use and Real Estate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in real estate development and special permitting, along with a portable business of approximately $500K.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all phases of real estate development projects, including acquisition, financing, zoning, land use planning, and leasing.
  • Provide legal advice and strategic counsel on complex real estate transactions and development projects.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence, title review, and environmental assessments for real estate transactions.
  • Handle land use regulatory matters, including zoning variances, permits, and compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience practicing law, focusing on real estate development and land use matters.
  • Proven track record of handling complex real estate transactions and development projects.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Real Estate Law (preferred but not required).
