A law firm in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney with a strong background in real estate transactions, including acquisition and sales, land development, and financing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the homebuilder and/or apartment developer industry, with a preference for those who have represented developers of single-family, multi-family, or mixed-use projects.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real estate transactions, including acquisition, sales, leasing, and financing.
  • Provide legal advice and support on land development projects, including zoning, land use regulations, and permitting.
  • Draft and review real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations and title examinations.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of real estate transactions on behalf of clients.
  • Handle disputes and litigation related to real estate matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in real estate transactions.
  • Experience in acquisition and sales transactions, land development, and financing.
  • Experience in the homebuilder and/or apartment developer industry preferred.
  • Juris doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Member of The Florida Bar.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Membership in The Florida Bar.

  • Excellent understanding of real estate law and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and contracts.
