A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their team in Menlo Park, CA. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, the ability to work independently, and strong advocacy abilities. This position provides the opportunity to engage in complex intellectual property and patent litigation.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on intellectual property and patent issues.
  • Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court, hearings, depositions, and settlement discussions.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property strategies and litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and development.
  • Stay updated with changes in intellectual property law and related regulations.
  • Perform due diligence for intellectual property transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
  • Engage in client development activities, including meetings and presentations.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.
