Duties:

  • Provide employment support on corporate transactions, including conducting employment-related due diligence and advising on employment issues in transactions.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, restrictive covenants, separation agreements, arbitration agreements, and other related documents.
  • Advise clients on employment law topics such as employee classifications, accommodations for disabilities, workplace policies, and employee separations.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws, including case law and regulations.
  • Assist clients in ensuring compliance with employment laws and preparing legally compliant employment policies.
  • Partner with a team of attorneys on a variety of employment law matters, offering strategic counseling to employers across industries.
  • Manage a high volume of work, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely delivery of services.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, including federal, state, and local statutes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct legal research, draft complex agreements, and advise clients on a range of employment issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Exceptional academic performance.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar (or ability to waive in).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with employment law compliance and best practices.
  • Ability to assess and advise on workplace policies, employee classification, and other employment law topics.
  • Knowledge of employment-related agreements such as contracts, arbitration agreements, and separation agreements.
  • Ability to collaborate with other practice groups, such as employee benefits and executive compensation.
