Job Overview: A highly respected law firm in Omaha, NE is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
  • Assist clients with trust and estate administration throughout the planning process and during probate proceedings.
  • Offer fiduciary representation and manage complex trust structures.
  • Collaborate with financial and tax advisors to create comprehensive estate plans that meet clients' personal, financial, and tax goals.
  • Represent clients in probate court proceedings and other estate-related legal matters.
  • Ensure compliance with estate and gift tax laws and assist clients with tax planning strategies.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly in complex estate planning and trust administration matters.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of relevant estate planning experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of trust and estate administration, including tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong client service skills with a focus on responsiveness and communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in legal documents and filings.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Nebraska, or eligible for admission.

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning and administration, including drafting legal documents.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws related to estates and trusts.
  • Ability to manage complex cases independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts concisely.
