Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 2-7 years of litigation experience. The role requires strong litigation case management skills, excellent academic credentials, and proficiency in legal research and writing.

Job Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting motions, handling discovery requests, and conducting depositions.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
• Conduct thorough legal research on insurance coverage issues and related matters.
• Prepare and present persuasive legal arguments and strategies in court and in written briefs.
• Analyze insurance policies and provide strategic advice to clients on coverage issues.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to develop case strategies and achieve litigation objectives.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with firm and court procedures.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• 2-7 years of experience in insurance litigation, preferably with exposure to coverage disputes.
• Strong academic credentials with exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research methodologies and presentation of legal arguments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with California insurance law and regulations.
• Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation and dispute resolution.
