Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage personal injury cases, provide legal representation, and advocate for clients.

Duties:

• Manage a docket of personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
• File lawsuits and draft necessary legal documents.
• Conducted depositions and prepared clients for depositions, mediations, motion hearings, and trials.
• Evaluate claims by collaborating with claims representatives.
• Work in a team with paralegals and legal secretaries to manage discovery requests, summarize records, coordinate depositions, and prepare for trials.
• Provide outstanding client service throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited law school.
• 1-3 years of personal injury litigation experience preferred.
• Strong litigation skills, including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with solid negotiating skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases independently.
• Willingness to litigate claims and take cases to trial when necessary.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
