Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their Roanoke location. The Litigation Attorney will serve a diverse practice, including family law, local government, creditors' rights, and estate litigation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, a strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, superior judgment, and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse litigation practice, including family law, local government, creditors' rights, and estate litigation
• Conduct legal research and writing
• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the cases
• Work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and legal staff
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, and trials
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia
• 1-5 years of litigation experience
• Excellent academic record
• Strong work ethic
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Superior judgment
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
