Duties:

  • Client Engagement:

    • Conduct client interviews to gather information and assess legal needs.
    • Provide timely updates to clients on the progress of their cases.
  • Courtroom & Legal Representation:

    • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and other legal proceedings.
    • Represent clients in criminal defense and personal injury cases.
  • Legal Documentation:

    • Draft and respond to discovery requests, legal motions, and other relevant documents.
    • Prepare and review case files, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Legal Research:

    • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and development.
  • Collaboration & Client Service:

    • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management.
    • Maintain a client-first approach, ensuring excellent service throughout the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Experience & License:
    • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
    • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
    • Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality client service.
  • Personal Traits:
    • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
    • Strong work ethic and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
    • Confident and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar membership and in good standing.

  • Legal Research & Writing: Ability to conduct in-depth legal research and prepare well-organized legal documents.
  • Courtroom Representation: Comfortable representing clients in court and handling various types of legal proceedings.
