A law firm in Fargo, ND, is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to represent injured clients in personal injury cases. The attorney will handle all aspects of the legal process, including negotiations, record reviews, depositions, hearings, and trials. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases through all stages of the legal process, from initial consultation to trial.
  • Conduct comprehensive case reviews, including medical records and other relevant documentation.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure maximum compensation for clients.
  • Lead and participate in depositions, prepare witnesses, and conduct direct and cross-examinations.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court during hearings and trials.
  • Work with medical experts and other professionals to gather evidence and build strong cases.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases and discussing legal strategies.
  • Handle client intake and develop personalized legal strategies tailored to each case.
  • Collaborate with the legal team, sharing insights and strategies, and assisting colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa.
  • Experience in personal injury law or related litigation experience is preferred.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the Fargo office and travel for client meetings as necessary.
  • Previous experience in a professional office environment is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent client communication skills, including phone consultations and case updates.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must exhibit professionalism and maintain discretion in handling confidential matters.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa.
