Professional Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in Moosic, PA, is seeking a Professional Liability Associate Attorney with a focus on UIM (Underinsured/Uninsured Motorist) bad faith litigation. The role will also involve occasional pre-litigation consultation and drafting coverage opinions, emphasizing strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.

Duties:

• Handle UIM bad faith litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Provide pre-litigation consultation and advice on insurance coverage matters.
• Draft coverage opinions and advise clients on insurance policy interpretation.
• Collaborate with attorneys across different practice groups on research and writing projects.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility for admission.
• 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in professional liability or insurance defense.
• Experience with UIM bad faith litigation and insurance coverage issues is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex legal issues.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
