Senior Global Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Global Finance Associate Attorney with 7+ years of experience in acquisition financings to join their rapidly growing finance practice. This role involves direct client contact and offers numerous opportunities for business development training and participation. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and prior law firm experience.

Duties:

• Advise clients on acquisition financing transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and documenting financing agreements.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on complex global finance matters.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of acquisition finance transactions from inception to closing.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external parties to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
• Conduct due diligence and provide risk assessments on financial deals.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements, security documents, and other related legal documents.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and market trends impacting global finance.
• Mentor and train junior associates within the finance practice group.
• Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, presentations, and networking events.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in acquisition financings.
• Demonstrated expertise in global finance transactions and acquisition financings.
• Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing global finance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Team player with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law and in good standing in New York.
