A law firm in Spokane, WA, seeks a Mid-level Family Law Attorney with 4-6 years of experience practicing family law. The candidate will handle various family law matters, including mediation, trial representation, legal research, and client communication.

Duties:

  • Generate a portion (25%) of own billable work and attend four events per quarter.
  • Handle mediation and trial proceedings.
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues related to family law.
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court members, and other employees.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Market the firm's services to prospective clients.
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information.
  • Conduct due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Bill an average of 1500 hours annually, with collections expected on 1400 hours of invoices worked.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Washington State Bar.
  • 4-6 years of experience as an attorney, focusing on family law.

Skills:
