Duties:

  • Represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in legal matters regarding tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination.
  • Handle complex commercial and construction litigation cases.
  • Participate in trials, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on administrative law and other relevant matters.
  • Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and court filings.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis.
  • Manage multiple cases and maintain strong organizational systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to devise case strategies and resolve legal issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience or significant interest in Federal Indian Law.
  • Experience with trial work, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments is a plus.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail in legal writing and analysis.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
