A law firm seeks a compassionate and skilled Family Law Attorney to join their team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and alimony cases. This position requires someone who can navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, maintain composure in high-stress environments, and advocate effectively for clients. The attorney will play a key role in helping individuals resolve legal issues surrounding family dynamics, and ensure their clients receive the best legal representation during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in divorce proceedings, including the division of marital assets such as real estate.
  • Assist clients with prenuptial agreements and family law-related legal matters.
  • Handle cases involving child custody, child support, alimony, spousal support, and domestic violence.
  • Effectively negotiate settlements and represent clients in court when necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to develop and execute case strategies.
  • Keep thorough and organized client records to ensure efficient management of cases.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience practicing family law, including divorce and child custody cases.
  • Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in emotionally charged situations.
  • Ability to manage high-stress cases while maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience with legal issues related to real estate and marital property division is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain an organized workflow and keep client files up to date.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Oklahoma.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of family law and divorce proceedings.
