Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Clerkship experience is preferred. The role requires active Bar membership in New York or eligibility for admission via reciprocity. The candidate should be capable of handling multiple cases and serving as the primary point of contact on litigation matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a diverse caseload in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Prepare and present oral arguments and engage in client and witness interviews.
• Handle discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop and implement case strategies.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Maintain thorough case documentation and ensure compliance with procedural rules and deadlines.
• Provide high-quality legal advice and client service throughout the litigation process.
• Stay updated on relevant case law, statutes, and procedural rules to ensure effective representation.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong law firm experience.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases and act as the point person on litigation matters.
• Active Bar membership in the State of New York or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Prior clerkship experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in New York or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
