A law firm in Saint Louis Park, MN, seeks a Litigation Matters Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive litigation support to non-profit clients. This role requires expertise in crisis management, risk mitigation, conflict resolution, and strong leadership skills to manage a team of support professionals.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to new and existing non-profit clients, ensuring tailored strategies that meet their unique needs.
  • Advise non-profit organizations on crisis management, risk mitigation, negotiation, and conflict resolution, acting as a key resource for their boards of directors and key staff.
  • Offer strategic and pragmatic approaches to litigation matters, assisting non-profit organizations in navigating legal challenges.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate discovery efforts to support the litigation process, including compiling requests and responses.
  • Manage and lead a team of support professionals, ensuring effective delivery of litigation services.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar is required
  • Admission to the federal District of Minnesota is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience, specifically in litigation; 5-7 years of overall attorney experience preferred.
  • Mastery of the rules of civil procedure, general practice, and evidence.
  • Strong research, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of non-profit and/or employment laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of litigation practices and procedures.
