Mid-level Business Transactions Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a mid-level Business Transactions Associate to join its dynamic practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures is a plus. A strong background in accounting or tax, or an LL.M. in Taxation, is highly preferred. This role requires excellent academic credentials, superior writing skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a client-focused environment.

Location:

• West Palm Beach, FL

Duties:

• Manage and support complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
• Assist with securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures
• Draft, review, and negotiate business transaction agreements
• Provide legal counsel on a range of business-related matters
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Work both independently on client matters and collaboratively within a team
• Maintain high standards of client service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in business transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions
• Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures preferred
• Accounting or tax experience (or an LL.M. in Taxation) strongly preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• LL.M. in Taxation (preferred but not required)
