This role is based in New Haven, CT.Job Description:Duties:Handle various professional liability cases, including insurance coverage disputes, cyber/data breach incidents, and other professional liability matters.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitration.Advise clients on legal issues, case developments, and potential outcomes.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to professional liability and insurance coverage.Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Manage client relationships, providing timely updates and addressing concerns or questions.Participate in business development activities, including client presentations and networking events.Requirements:Minimum of 5+ years of relevant legal experienceInterest in professional liability, insurance coverage, and cyber/data breaches.Demonstrated expertise in handling complex litigation cases.Proven ability to conduct detailed legal research and present findings.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Self-motivated with a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the Connecticut State Bar.Certifications:Certification in Cybersecurity Law or Professional Liability Law is a plus but not required.Skills:Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.Skilled in using case management software.Strong negotiation and mediation skills.Ability to present complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.Adept at using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to build and maintain client relationships.Location:New Haven, CT
