Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team, helping families navigate challenging legal issues with compassion and expertise. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote work with in-office duties at locations in Naples, FL, and Cape Coral, FL. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and prepare legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations.
  • Provide compassionate counsel and support to clients throughout their legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
  • Travel to in-person court events and client meetings as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing family law.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida.
  • Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to work independently while being a team player.
  • Familiarity with county judicial systems and electronic legal research tools.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Certifications:

  • Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Google products (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Comfortable working in a paperless environment with strong technical skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle emotionally charged situations with empathy.
