The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managed care or health care law, with excellent academic credentials and robust writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. The role requires experience in handling multiple cases, managing regulatory or compliance matters, and serving as a primary contact for litigation and client counseling.

Duties:

  • Handle complex managed care litigation cases, including coordinating and managing all aspects of litigation and arbitration.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on managed care and health care regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing client relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout litigation processes.
  • Coordinate with other associates and staff, overseeing case management and supporting litigation and counseling activities.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies, and represent clients in court proceedings and arbitration hearings.
  • Manage multiple cases and client matters simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide client counseling on regulatory compliance, risk management, and litigation avoidance strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments in managed care and health care law.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on managed care or health care law.
  • Proven track record of handling multiple cases and managing regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Ability to serve as the point person on litigation and client counseling, including coordinating with other associates and staff.
  • Significant experience in case management and client counseling preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on litigation, managed care, or health care law.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
