Position Title: Senior Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm located in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a seasoned Senior Criminal Defense Attorney. The selected attorney will take charge of managing cases, engaging with clients, and collaborating with a skilled group of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and draft essential legal documents.
• Attend pretrial hearings, and advise clients on the best strategies after each hearing.
• Oversee court appearances, trial preparation, drafting motions, witness interviews, and legal research.
• Assess potential case outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Manage a caseload efficiently and track progress.
• Offer clients comprehensive legal analysis to identify possible case advantages.
• Gather additional evidence to support defense strategies or counter-prosecution arguments.
• Prepare clients for depositions, define key case objectives, and gather information from witnesses and experts to support client positions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of criminal defense experience.
• Proven expertise in handling complex criminal cases across federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• High level of interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must hold an active license to practice law in Nevada.

Certifications:

• Active Nevada State Bar membership.
