Job Overview: A national law firm specializing in personal injury cases is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mass Torts Attorney to join its legal team. This fully remote position provides an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale mass tort cases involving complex litigation, while collaborating with a team of dedicated legal professionals. The role includes managing multiple cases, preparing for trials, conducting depositions, and engaging in negotiations. The ideal candidate will have significant litigation experience and a proven ability to handle high-stakes cases.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in mass tort litigation from case preparation through trial.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough depositions, both questioning and cross-examining witnesses.
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and work towards favorable client outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records and case files for efficient case management.
  • Provide regular updates and guidance to clients, managing expectations throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mass tort or personal injury litigation.
  • Proven ability in courtroom advocacy, including trial work.
  • Strong legal writing skills for drafting persuasive motions and legal arguments.
  • Extensive experience in depositions, including both taking and defending.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex legal problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Effective negotiation skills with a track record of favorable settlements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with depositions (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of briefing and motion practice experience (preferred).
