Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Granger, IN, specializing in personal injury litigation, is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury claims such as motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-falls, and dog bites.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Indiana State Bar; additional admission to the Northern District of Indiana is preferred.
• 1+ years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury law.
• Strong knowledge of Indiana civil procedure and personal injury statutes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Indiana State Bar; Northern District of Indiana admission preferred.
