A law firm seeks a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its healthcare practice in Clifton, New Jersey. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex litigation matters, particularly focusing on reimbursement issues for hospitals. Duties

  • Handle a diverse range of litigation matters related to healthcare, including bad debt collections, insurance disputes with health plans, workers' compensation reimbursement issues, and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) arbitrations.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and legal research.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing case updates and legal advice.
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Conduct legal research to support litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Active New Jersey Bar admission.
  • A strong academic background with excellent legal writing skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on healthcare or reimbursement-related matters preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • New Jersey Bar license (required).
