A law firm based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Mid-Level Digital Risk Advisory and Cyber-Security Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on privacy and security obligations, including state, federal, and international data security incident notification requirements.
  • Manage and respond to data security incidents, including advising on breach response strategies and regulatory investigations.
  • Defend clients in regulatory investigations related to privacy and security breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal data security and privacy obligations.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of privacy and data protection issues and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Draft and review privacy policies, data protection agreements, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement best practices for data protection and cybersecurity.
  • Stay current with evolving data privacy and security laws and regulations to provide informed advice.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in privacy and data protection law, cybersecurity, or related litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in privacy and cybersecurity breach response, including managing data security incidents and regulatory investigations.
  • Experience with state, federal, and international data security incident notification obligations.
  • Proven ability to handle a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
