Associate Litigation Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of plaintiff civil litigation experience. The role involves managing a significant caseload, overseeing support staff and requires negotiation and mediation skills. Trial experience is a plus. Job Duties:

• Manage a caseload of plaintiff civil litigation matters.
• Supervise paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case progression.
• Conduct negotiation and mediation sessions with opposing parties.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and responses.
• Prepare for and represent clients in court proceedings.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in New York.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff civil litigation.
• Additional Bar admissions, especially in New Jersey, are advantageous.
• Ability to manage a caseload of over 80 cases effectively.
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
